Although those who take great interest in animal behavior probably already know that, during winter time, some animals look for their next meal under the snow cover, this video shows that foxes need be singled out as some of the world's most gifted snow divers.

After standing relatively still for quite a while and listening for the slightest of sounds in order to locate its next meal, the fox shown in this footage plunges head first in the snow in a jump that could make quite a lot of Olympic swimmers jealous.

Just for the record, this video was filmed in the Yellowstone National Park in the US, and is part of a documentary series meant to raise awareness with respect to the multitude of plant and animal species presently residing in this part of the world.
