In case anyone was wondering, the 22nd of September 2012 (tomorrow, that is) is intended to be “World Car Free Day,” meaning that environmentalists will be busy encouraging people to let go of their vehicles for at least 24 hours.

Because some might actually listen to this plea, odds are that numerous street parking spaces will be left empty. However, thanks to one Matteo Cibic, mobile green spaces could be parked there instead of cars.

Thus, this greenhead came up with the idea to take one tree, several bushes, one bench and some Wi-Fi, put them together and provide people with an environmentally friendly relaxation area that does more than just look amazing: it can follow people around town.

From where we stand, such projects are more than welcome, as they help green up a bit our already crowded and polluted cities.
