Spotify for Windows 8

Spotify has gained a lot of popularity in the US but, before crossing the ocean, the service was already enjoying a lot of attention in Europe. You can use the application on Windows 7 with no problems, but if you try to run it on Windows 8 Developer Preview, you’ll definitely hit a brick wall.

Luckily, the Spotify website features a special section where developers can post their projects, among which there is a preview of the next version of the application, which runs on Windows 8.

It is not the final release, as some bugs are still to be done away with, so glitches should be expected.

Also, there isn’t a metro app ready just yet, but solutions are on the way, some from third party developers.

Spotify is currently available in the following countries: Finland, France, Norway, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom and United States.
