14 DAY TRIAL // Today, Spotify announced the availability of a free music listening experience for the owners of mobile devices, which should provide more users out there with the possibility to enjoy access to its service, in addition to those previously owning a premium account.
Spotify Free will be available for Android and iOS devices, but it will be similar to the Radio feature that the company is currently providing to its users for free.
Furthermore, the company unveiled that there would be ads included, and that there would be no unlimited search capabilities available to phone users. No listen queries will be available to them either, TechCrunch notes.
"We're giving people the best free music experience in the history of the smartphone," Spotify CEO Daniel Ek said, The Verge reports. "Spotify for mobile is no longer just for people who subscribe to Premium... and the more you play, the more likely you are to play."
