Spore: Tribal Stage Detailed, Screened

- Hot new details

By: Calin Ciabai, Games Editor

Last time we talked about it, Electronic Arts had released a bunch of screenshots presenting the Cell Phase in Spore. The Creature Stage followed and, just as expected, it had basically no new information. But
things are just getting more and more interesting, since EA seems to be planning to release screenshots and information about all the stages in the game - and we all know that the latter stages were barely talked about.

As the title suggests, a new set of screenshots and details have arrived, this time detailing the Tribe Stage of the highly anticipated game. The Tribal Stage is the third you'll encounter in Spore and you will begin it as a small group of creatures which have just discovered tools and founded a tribe. Depending on how you played both the Cell and Creature Stages, you will begin Tribal Stage with two out of six super powers at your disposal. Honestly, for a game as big as Spore, just six super powers seem to be obscenely low. Hopefully, there will be other non-detailed things that will help individualize each tribe more.

Also, your main priority will be gaining food, since for this stage it is the most important thing: "Gather food with your tribe members by picking fruit, hunting or domesticating wild animals and fishing. Your tribe runs on food - buy tools with it, purchase tribal accessories with it, gift it to other tribes, steal it from other tribes, and (of course) feed your tribe with it. Use different tools to befriend or attack neighboring tribes, aid in hunting and gathering, or heal your tribe members," an official EA statement reads.

And, as announced, along with these few extra details about the game and the reason to keep us even more excited for the upcoming release of Spore (or the Creature Creator this month!), Electronic Arts has released no less than 29 brand new screenshots you can enjoy below:
