Spore Creatures is a video game developed by Foundation 9, under the guidance of Spore and Sims creator Will Wright, and published by Electronic Arts for the Nintendo DS handheld platform as well as for the iOS operating system, thus appearing on devices like the iPhone or iPod Touch, and released on September 4, 2008, in Australia, September 5, in Europe and September 7, in North America.
Spore Creatures, as you can tell by its name, is a spin-off based on the full-pledged Spore game, which focuses just on the Creatures phase of the larger title, during which players need to control and help their creations through different stages of evolution, while collecting items, unlocking badges, playing mini-games, performing side quests as well as survive on 12 different levels, at least on the Nintendo DS version of the game, as the story sees players be abducted by evil aliens and set to survive on islands from their home planet.
