Finally, the Spore Creature Creator is HERE! Featuring 25% of the creature-making parts from Spore, the trial version of the Creature Creator lets players shape, paint and play with their custom-created creature, but also share it with friends or shoot it in action and upload it to YouTube. The full version of the Creator is available on the Spore official website and EA for $9.99.

Creatures made in the Spore Creature Creator can also be imported into the full Spore game, so feel free to let your imagination run wild, grab Spore when it launches in September and populate your own galaxies with the most diverse creatures ever seen or... never seen.

The Spore Creature Creator is not only about making funny creatures and looking at them for the rest of the day. It also lets you take them for a test drive, snap pictures, make movies of them and share pictures or videos of them with friends. EA says that players can also share their creations with others, by uploading them to the Sporepedia on the official Spore website. The Sporepedia is a vast online destination where people (worldwide) can search for and share creatures, comment on other player's designs, see celebrity creature creations and more.

"Today is the day we begin to see Spore come to life," said executive producer and general manager of Maxis, Lucy Bradshaw. "We're excited to see what players will do with the powerful and intuitive creativity tools we've put into the Spore Creature Creator. Our team will be excitedly keeping an eye on the Sporepedia to check out creations made by players from around the world."

It has long been revealed that the ability to upload players' creations to YouTube is integrated in the Spore Creature Creator. Players can import and upload videos of their creatures' moves directly to YouTube with only two clicks within the game. EA promises that Spore will have its own YouTube Channel, where all videos will be showcased for the YouTube community to watch, share, rate and comment on.

Spore will be available for Mac on September 5, 2008 in Europe and September 7, 2008 in North America and Asia. The PC, Nintendo DS and mobile versions of the game will become available on the same date.
