Mac owners are finally getting everything their PC rivals are getting when it comes to Spore: the full game launching on September 7, the Spore Creature Creator available for download tomorrow, as well as the free demo of the Spore Creature Creator - everyone gets the same amount of content.

The Spore Creature Creator "borrows" one of the most exciting parts of the game - molding your species - and delivers it to Mac and PC users for just $9.99. The demo version also available tomorrow will use 25 percent of the creature-making parts from Spore, but it will enable you to mold, shape, paint and play with an unlimited number of creatures. You will also be able to share your designs with friends over the web, and even upload them to YouTube.

Best of all, you get to keep your creature and wait for the full game to import it. Surely, you'll probably just forget your first monster and make another one in the full game, but it was an aspect worth noting nonetheless.

"If you enjoyed making creatures, and want the complete set of creature parts and building options, upgrade to the Spore Creature Creator Complete," EA advises.

Spore and Spore Creature Creator for Mac are both developed using TransGaming's Cider technology. Thus, only Intel-based Macs can run Will Wright's God game and Creature Creator.
