The LinkedIn resume of a developer from Ubisoft suggests that the upcoming Splinter Cell: Blacklist is set to be launched on the new Wii U home console from Nintendo.

The platform is not yet confirmed and the company refused to comment on the issue, says Gamespot.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist is set to also launch on the PlayStation 3 from Sony, the Xbox 360 from Microsoft, and the PC.

The game was initially set to arrive during the spring but it has since been delayed to August.

If the game is truly coming to the Wii U, it will be interesting to see how the team handles the GamePad controller and its touch screen, given the stealth mechanics that are typical for the series.

Blacklist will see gamers control Fischer as he creates a new anti-terror organization that will deal with an internal threat.
