Ubisoft has just unveiled the Splinter Cell: Blacklist Paladin Collector's Edition, which includes not just the game plus different bonuses, but also an actual remote-controlled plane.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist received an August release date earlier this month and now Ubisoft has revealed a very special Paladin Collector's Edition for the upcoming stealth experience.

This version of the game comes with not only the actual title, but also with bonuses like an 88-page Splinter Cell Echoes graphic novel, a poster, as well as in-game content like the Billionaire's Yacht co-op map or the Upper Echelon pack, which includes a special suit, gold sonar goggles, and a Dead Coast co-op level.

Besides all this great content, the Paladin Collector's Edition of Splinter Cell: Blacklist also comes with a remote-controlled plane called the Paladin. The device is a custom three-channel, dual-motor plane modeled after the mobile headquarters of in-game protagonist Sam Fisher.

Check out the special edition in the video above.

I’d seriously consider buying this collector’s edition if I had an extra $170 of disposable income sitting around. I wonder how much the Splinter Cell Echoes graphic novel will be by itself. Thinking about Blacklist has rekindled my excitement for the Splinter Cell franchise all over again, and I’d like to replay through all the old games while I’m waiting for its release. So I’ll be putting the Splinter Cell: Trilogy and Conviction in my Blockbuster @Home queue and they should keep me busy until Blacklist comes out. As a DISH employee I try my best to test out every service we come out with, and I knew right away I was going to love Blockbuster @Home. Because it’s a flat-rate subscription service, and I go through a lot of games, it’s saved me a ton of money. And with its enormous selection of Blu-rays, DVDs, and video games to rent by mail, I’m never without a good game to play now!
