The developers at Ubisoft are presenting a new trailer for the upcoming Splinter Cell: Blacklist, which focuses on the action set pieces that the new Sam Fischer powered game will offer.

David Footman, the cinematic director working on Blacklist, offers commentary on the gameplay mechanics that players can see and talks about the overall vision that the team has for the action sequences.

It seems that the next Splinter Cell will continue to move the series towards the action genre, although some stealth attacks can also be seen.

Blacklist will see Fischer create a new Fourth Echelon organization to hunt down terrorists while dealing with the fallout from the previous game in the series, working alongside a new cast of characters.

The new Splinter Cell will be out during August on the PC and on home consoles.
