The budget tablet goodie basket is getting another addition. Spire has just pulled the veil off its updated and improved Bliss Pro+ slate.

The company also launched the Bliss Pro 9 last month, but this is an improvement. The Bliss Pro+ is a 9-inch device packed with a dual-core ARM Cortex A7 1.2GHz CPU.

The screen offers 5-point multi-touch and enjoys a decent enough resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. Basic operations like text processing and watching videos are not going to pose any issues. The display is said to be scratch-free and splash proof.

Spire has embedded two cameras in its new baby and has made sure to implement Mali-400 dual-core graphics and 8GB of storage. The Bliss Pro+ runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

The device weights 490 g / 1 lb so it’s both light and extremely portable.

There’s no word on when it might pop up in retail locations, but it will be priced very conveniently at $179 / €133.
