Keeping one's portable computing system cool at all times, it's quite an important issue for modern road-warriors, and that's exactly the reason why Spire has debuted the Juno notebook cooler, that also doubles as laptop base stand.

Let's face it, nobody really enjoys the heat generated by our portable computing systems (typically oriented downwards, to our lap), and for this reason, devices such as the Juno from Spire can really come in handy, especially when, as is the case with this particular model, they're also quite ergonomic.

The Juno supports a wide variety of notebooks, nettops and laptops, as it works quite well with portable machines in the 7 to 15.4-inch interval.

The device comes equipped with foldable rubber pads, designed to offer a good level of stability while in use, as well as a gentle slope, that should deliver a higher level of comfort for users when watching the notebook's screen.

Though it features just a 70mm fan, it's touted by the manufacturer as being capable of delivering a very good level of cooling, but it also has somewhat of a shortcoming, namely the fact that the fan is USB powered, so users will actually have to give up on one of the few precious USB ports found on any notebook or laptop.

Moreover, it's also quite important to point out that the Juno cooler is extremely easy to carry around, given the fact that, when folded, it measures just around 22 x 9 x 2 cm, which means that one shouldn't have too many problems finding some space for it right within the laptop bag.

Given the fact that we're talking about a fairly simple product (despite its impressive portability), we shouldn't really be surprised by the fact that the Juno cooler/stand from Spire is quite affordable, having a recommended retail price of around 27.99 US dollars or 22.95 Euro, which means that it targets quite a wide array of consumers.
