“Hot Toys Stop Motion : Spiderman VS Green Goblin” is a short animation film produced and posted by YouTube user counter656. He reportedly used toy figurines to recreate this epic battle, and used stop motion to edit the clip.

Stop motion is an animation technique used to create motion scenes using inanimate objects, such as the toy figurines in this video. Frames are photographed individually, and later edited together to create flow and the illusion of movement.

The object is repositioned throughout the shooting, and must only be moved in small increments in order to get a more accurate rendition of movement, Wikipedia informs.

The Humpty Dumpty Circus (1897) was the first production to ever use stop motion. Albert E. Smith and J. Stuart Blackton created a circus in which animals came to life during the night, with the help of this post-production technique.

This particular clip was commissioned by Nagoo TV in Taiwan, and the author used only Hot toys figurines during its making. 2 weeks of production time went into creating this action movie effect, during which time 1000 pictured were processed and edited.
