Based on Sony Pictures Entertainment�s Columbia Pictures� film, Spider-Man 3 allows players to experience the actions of heroic red-suited Spider-Man and, for the first time ever, his darker, more mysterious black-suited persona. Set in a larger, dynamic, free-roaming New York City, the game gives players the freedom to choose their own gameplay experience through multiple movie-based and original storylines, fully integrated city missions and performance rewards including improved speed, combat maneuvers and agility.

In Spider-Man 3, players draw upon Spider-Man�s completely revamped combat abilities as they protect the city and defeat nemeses using expanded aerial fighting, finishing moves and dynamic webbing during missions and epic boss battles.

The PlayStation Portable version is a full on conversion of the PlayStation 2 version of the game by Vicarious Visions and is confirmed to feature a free-roaming city, Morbius and Shriek, plus the black suit. It is unlike Spider-Man 2 on PlayStation Portable, which was restricted to small areas, similar to the original Spider-Man. The PSP version has been released in the USA on November 1, 2007 alongside the Spider-Man 3 home video on Blu-ray release. The game is still awaiting a release date of October 26, 2007 in the UK. The game has received generally favourable reviews since its release. Though the game was rumored to have been taken over by Treyarch after one wing of Vicarious shut down, it has been confirmed that Vicarious Visions has developed the game.

Successfully complete the game as Spider-Man to unlock Symbiote Spider-Man's story mode and Arena mode.

Collect all 50 Black Spider Tokens to get the black Spider-Man suit to wear whenever desired for as long as you want.

Collect 100 Meteorite Pieces to play as Venom.

Glitches

Defy gravity
While web swinging with Spider-Man, press Z for the boost and hold it. When you reach the end of your swing, press C and rotate the Nunchuck to the Left or Right, while still holding Z + C. Spider-Man will start to look like he is having a spasm and will remain at the end of his swing, defying the laws of gravity. Play around with the Z + C combination to do different things, such as moving like a ceiling fan while under the monorail.
