Mobile phone maker Spice is getting ready for the launch of a new Android-based smartphone, one that should arrive on the market as the first Android 4.4-based device from the company, namely the Spice Stellar Mi-600.

The handset hasn’t been officially announced as of now, but it has already made an appearance online, on HomeShop18, and should be released in India very soon.

The new Spice Stellar Mi-600 has been spotted only in a white version at the moment, though chances are that the mobile phone maker will release it in other color variants as well.

Unfortunately, no specific info on when it might go official in India has been provided as of now, though we do expect it to be formally introduced very soon.

When made available for purchase, the new Spice Stellar Mi-600 will provide users with appealing capabilities for a mid-range handset, paired with an affordable price tag.

At the moment, the phone can be seen listed at the aforementioned retailer at Rs. 9,999 ($166/€122), as fonearena notes. However, it might feature a different price when officially introduced in the country.

The new device will hit shelves with a large 6-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 960 x 540 pixels resolution, while being powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, thus capable of decent performance capabilities at all times.

Moreover, the handset features 1GB of RAM, along with 4GB of internal memory. However, users will be able to add up to 32GB of external storage courtesy of a microSD memory card slot.

On the back, the Spice Stellar Mi-600 sports an 8-megapixel camera with LED Flash, most probably capable of recording videos in full HD resolution, complemented by a 3.2MP front camera for making video calls.

The new handset will land on shelves with dual-SIM with dual-standby capabilities inside, as well as with a 2500mAh battery that should be able to deliver up to 9.5 hours of talk time.

The specs list of the new mobile phone also includes 3G connectivity, along with the usual Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with A2DP, and GPS receiver with a GPS. Moreover, it comes with 3.5mm audio jack, and FM Radio, all packed inside a body that measures 149.4 x 74.9 x 9.3mm and weighs 175 grams.

All in all, the new Spice Stellar Mi-600 sounds like an appealing smartphone, especially since it runs under the new Android 4.4 KitKat platform, which makes it the only handset in Spice’s lineup to sport the feature.
