The Indian company Spice Mobiles, the first company to launch a dual mode phone in India, recently announced its new line of Android devices, “Connected Spice Life.” The new series includes three new Android-powered devices, a tablet and two smartphones.

The first of the series, Mi-300 comes with a 3.2-inch HVGA (320 x 240 pixels resolution) touch screen and will be closely followed by the launch of two other devices.

The device is 3.5G compatible and runs Android v2.1, with integrated Spice mobility offerings including a range of customized applications developed by Spice Digital.

It is powered by a 600 Mhz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor.

Other key features of the device include: MS Office, GPS with A-GPS support for location tracking or turn-by-turn directions, Wi-Fi connectivity, Push E-mail, G-sensor, E-compass, Proximity Sensor, 5.0 megapixel camera and SNS apps.

The second device announce by the Indian company is Mi- 410, a HD mini-tablet with a 4.1-inch HVGA touch screen.

Besides it High Definition video record and play capability, the tablet features Wi-Fi connectivity, 3G (HSDPA) technology, Bluetooth 3.0 with EDR support, A-GPS, MS office package.

Mi-410 is powered by a 1Ghz Snapdragon MSM8255 chipset from Qualcomm.

The third Android device, Mi-700 Mobile Internet tablet comes with a 7-inch HVGA touch screen.

The handheld tablet features phone capabilities and includes Wi-fi connectivity, Bluetooth, hot swap memory card slot, USB port data interfaces and Dual camera for video calling.

The Mi-700 handheld tablet is powered by the same is based on the 600 Mhz Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset fromQualcomm.

“Our devices will have pre-embedded content and applications developed by Spice Digital, our VAS business and Spice Labs, our mobile internet and applications business, retailed exclusively through Spice HotSpot stores across India to begin with, so as to offer an integrated mobility experience,” said Dilip Modi, Spice Mobility Managing Director.

While Mi-300 smartphone is already available on the Indian market for Rs. 9,990 (approx. $210), the Mi-410 and Mi-700 will debut in Q4 this year.
