The competition on the Android smartphone and tablet market in India is pretty fierce, which is why here is where you can find some of the cheapest devices.

Today, S Mobility has announced the upcoming availability of yet another Android smartphone, the Smart Flo Pace 2 Mi-502.

Although it’s been tagged as a budget-friendly smartphone, Spice Smart Flo Pace 2 Mi-502 comes with a huge 5-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

Even though it’s not the largest smartphone on the Indian market, the fact that you can get such a device at such a low price should attract many Android enthusiasts.

Smart Flo Pace 2 Mi-502 is also among the slimmest phablets in India at only 9.6mm thickness. The only downside may be the fact that it ships with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box instead of the newer Jelly Bean platform.

Hardware-wise, the smartphone is equipped with a dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz, 512 MB of RAM, 512 MB of ROM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

On the back, Smart Flo Pace 2 Mi-502 sports a 5-megapixel photo snapper with dual LED flash and video recording, while in the front, there’s a secondary 1.3-megapixel camera for video calls.

According to S Mobility, the handset comes pre-loaded with various apps such as Hoopz, Nimbuzz and WhatsApp. Sadly, it does not offer 3G connectivity, but it features EDGE/GPRS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB and dual-SIM capability.

Last but not least, the 2100mAh battery has been rated by the manufacturer for up to 5 hours of talk time or up to 280 hours of standby time.

Smart Flo Pace 2 Mi-502 will be available across India through all major retail stores in the coming days for only Rs 6,999 ($130 / €100).
