Spending Lots of Time in Undies Does a Body Good

Despite the fact that she is an attractive woman, until not long ago, Christina Ricci was very shy about her body. In the past, she battled with an eating disorder, which left her plummer and with more curves than the rest of the women in showbiz and that only increased her fears of appearing naked on the big screen.

Enter 'Black Snake Moan' to change all that. The movie premiered at Sundance Film Festival, has been acquired for domestic distribution and it is now running in US theaters. Beside the controversial topic it approaches (a nymphomaniac who has to be chained down by a preacher-type of character who tried to cure her), it is also stirring huge interest from the public for showing the gorgeous actress semi-naked for almost its entire length.

Christina says that playing the sex-obsessed young girl was by far the most challenging part of her life because she basically had to spent all the time in (and occasionally out of) her underwear. To practice for that, because she wasn't used to shooting scenes when she was that close to naked, Ricci spent her time off camera in her undies as well.

Now that shooting for the movie is over, Ricci admits to still not being able to shake off the habit of spending her time in panties. In a recent interview, the actress happily announced that she is no longer a prude: when at home, she hardly puts anything else on, other than her underwear, which is quite the opposite of how she used to be.

'I'm a prude and I do not like walking around naked...I was in my bathroom about two months after the movie finished and I was brushing my teeth and I was in my underwear and I looked down and was like, "oh, god, put something on". Then I just stopped and thought, "oh my god, I was half naked for two months and my ass was on camera". I called my sister and I was like, "Is it okay to wear nothing around the house? I'm freaking out".', Christina is quoted as saying.
