14 DAY TRIAL // Coming to confirm that there is more to his breakup from Heidi Montag than meets the eye, Spencer Pratt has made a rather unexpected announcement on his Twitter page. According to the former “The Hills” reality star, he will start his own paparazzi agency, thus leaving his television career behind him. Of course, he can’t do this on his own, which is why he’s asking for help from his followers on Twitter.
As we also reported on several occasions, speculation has it that Spencer and wife Heidi arranged their so-called breakup to the smallest detail in a bid to cash in on their fame while they still could – and the media still paid attention to them. Because their names had been slipping out of the headlines, the two came up with the idea of staging a breakup and legal separation (but without filing for divorce), in order to be able to cash in on their story with the tabloids.
After the new wave of attention, Heidi announced she was coming out with her own reality show. Spencer, it would seem, is turning paparazzo. “Anyone tweet me any celebrity sitings [sic] I’m starting my own PAP agency! I will pay for good tips if they get me the photo hahaha. Send me all your celeb photos you take with your camera phones and i will post them on my new blog KINGSPENCER.com and give you credit and $,” Pratt tweeted, promising his followers a share of the revenue.
As expected, the announcement did not fail to cause some waves in the blogosphere, since it is regarded as the closest thing to a confirmation that the two did, indeed, stage the breakup for financial reasons. Heidi and Spencer are, as any respectable gossip lover would know, one of the hungriest-for-attention couples in Hollywood, though they rarely do anything in particular to be worthy of media coverage other than stage photo-ops with the various paparazzi agencies around town.
At this point, Spencer hasn’t said a word yet on what he makes of his career as a paparazzo. Knowing him, though, chances are he’ll be coming out with celebrity photos very soon, so keep an eye on this space for when he does.
