Spencer Pratt Keeping Heidi Montag a Prisoner in Her Own Home

Ever since she underwent massive cosmetic surgery for a drastic makeover and then went to the media to sell her story, not a day has gone by without Heidi Montag making it into the pages of the tabloids. If, until now, the stories mostly focused on whether she’d get even more work done to herself, this week brings something new to the table: her relationship to husband Spencer Pratt.

According to MSNBC’s The Scoop, Life & Style magazine was invited to the couple’s home in Pacific Palisades, which is actually where they live, for they are in not residing in the Hollywood Hills as MTV’s reality show “The Hills” would have audiences believe. Once there, the reporter for the magazine not only got to see the squalor and mess the two live in, but also to note that Heidi is actually Spencer’s prisoner, as he’s constantly coming up with ways to prevent her from leaving the house.

“Heidi Montag is trapped inside Spencer Pratt’s prison. At least that’s how Life & Style is putting it. Pratt is barely leaving the house, and he’s making Heidi stick close to his side. […] ‘The living room is filled with Spencer’s mess, which Heidi often has to clean up,’ according to the magazine. And Spencer lines the window with crystals, which he believes will keep bad spirits out but keep Heidi locked in,’ according to a source who spoke to the magazine,” The Scoop writes, citing Life & Style and its unnamed source close to the celebrity couple.

At the same time, Us Weekly also hints that not all is well in Paradise, with a cover that hints that Heidi is slowly losing her mind, while her husband and mother fight over who’s the most appropriate person to look after her. Admittedly, Heidi has cut all her family off in light of the harsh criticism she got from them for what she did to herself, and they now believe that Spencer too might have had a hand in it. In other words, they’re blaming him for “brainwashing” her.
