German developer Envision Entertainment announced that it would be working on an unknown project with Ubisoft.

Envision Entertainment was founded after the dissolution of the EA Phenomic game studio in July 2013.

Phenomic games previously worked on Lord of Ultima, Spellforce, and the canceled Command & Conquer: Tiberium Alliances, as reported by Polygon.

“We envision games that last for years, that are places that gamers return to frequently to find new challenges and meet like-minded people. Social strategy, so to speak,” the dev was quoted as saying.

Envision has a 25+ strong team as well as a very good network of freelance personnel and is able to handle small and mid-sized projects, from mobile, to browser, to client, according to the company’s press release published by GamaSutra.

The studio has not yet disclosed the nature of its partnership with Ubisoft, but company CEO Dirk Ringe stated the team had been put together to do what it did best, developing “deep online strategy games.”
