14 DAY TRIAL // Due to additional features in the multiplayer department of the original game, Nordic Games have stated that they will be releasing SpellForce 2 – Demons Of The Past on January 16, 2014.
Gamers will be happy to know that Demons Of The Past will feature the famous free game mode but with a few changes. Now, fans can experience the tales of the single player in a whole different way, with other gamers cooperatively.
Besides this, a brand new survival mode has been brought, having distinct objectives as well as gameplay. More details on this matter will surely appear in the near future. Furthermore, the number of maps has increased, five new ones being added.
Being the final part in the SpellForce 2 series, developers decided to have it released as a whole rather than release the single-player part first and follow with the multiplayer modes later.
Nordic Game's Localization and Production Manager Gennaro Giani said, “Of course, this was not an easy decision to make, but it reflects our own standards when it comes to gaming more than in single bits and pieces, and this way the gamer will benefit from a comprehensive gaming experience.”
The new project is, as the former one, a mix between an RPG and RTS that brings players right in the middle of an enchanting and cryptic universe, that of SpellForce.
Fans will be able to purchase the game for $28.70 / € 21.20 when the game is released on January 16, 2014.
