Speck, the Palo Alto-based designer and maker of quality cases, bags and packs for the newest gadgets, has confirmed plans to bring many of its popular protection solutions to the newly-introduced iPhone 4. According to an official report issued by the company yesterday, the new phone’s design has boggled the minds of Speck designers.

“The iPhone 4’s sleek new blueprint has the designers at Speck deep in thought,” the company said in a report dated June 24. “How can they protect it? How can they complement its amazing style? One thing is for sure, consumers can expect Speck’s signature quality wrapped around their new iPhone 4. The company plans to bring many of its popular fashionable protection solutions to the newly announced phone”, the report confirms. Speck then directs readers to a page on its web site where some of its iPhone 4 shells are featured.

“The exciting challenge of any new device is to start with what we know best and then apply fresh thinking given the iPhone 4’s elegant design,” said Bryan Hynecek, Speck’s Lead Designer. “From the new and improved PixelSkin to the never before seen GeoMetric, we’ve really pushed the limits of protection and style that our customers have come to expect.”

As Softpedia readers should know, iPhone 4 is said to have serious reception issues. Speck’s fashionable shells should not only protect the device against scratches and damage, but should also act as a barrier between the phone’s antennae and the user’s electro-conductive skin.

According to the report, some of the cases Speck plans to offer to iPhone 4 customers include the following (complete with key features):

PixelSkin
- Comfortable tiled texture
- Rubbery matte finish case
- Smooth grid texture for a comfortable grip
- Pixel insulation for serious protection

CandyShell
- Glossy hard shell exterior
- Rubberized interior and button covers
- Patent-pending one-piece design

Fitted
- Original fabric-wrapped patterns give your iPhone 4 a fabulous tailored look
- Form-fit two-piece hard shell case design protects from scratches and scuffs
- Access to all buttons, controls, sensors and connections

PixelSkin HD
- Slim high-definition protective case
- Flexible high-contrast skin case
- Smooth HD pixel texture
- Perfectly contoured skinny fit

GeoMetric
- Grippy faceted texture
- Slim multifaceted protective case
- Flexible triangular skin case with contrasting-textured facets
- Unique texture for better grip
- Perfectly contoured fit and feel
