Speedtest.net Mobile Speed Test has been promoted to version 3.1 this week to include “many improvements and fixes,” according to developer Ookla.

The engineers behind Speedtest are encouraging users to contact them from within the app (in the About tab), saying, “We welcome your comments, feedback or reports of any issues that you encounter.”

The new Speedtest 3.1 is translated in 15 different languages now and offers the ability to select a testing location from Ookla’s entire server network.

The revamped testing engine improves performance and reliability, as well as an issue where some users would see a 0 result. Various interface improvements are also included, alongside some minor bug fixes.

iPhone and iPod touch owners can use the app natively and, while it does work on iPads, it’s not fully compatible with tablets. Speedtest requires iOS 4.3 or later.
