You might not be familiar with the brand SpeedUp Technology, but the company has been pretty active in the last few years.

For example, they have been showcasing a smartwatch at MWC 2014, and a year before at Computex, they put on display the SpeedUp Pad set of tablets.

But since the two events, some time has gone by and the company saw it fit to remind customers they area presence on the market as well, one that’s not to be ignored.

With this in mind, the company is teasing a bunch of revamped devices from the two categories, which includes the SpeedUp Smartwatch-S and SpeedUp Pad.

The smartwatch boasts a beautiful aluminum alloy body and arrives with an interchangeable silicone strap with a choice between stainless silver or black silver, silicon / rubber or leather.

The display of the wearable is protected by a tempered glass with a diagonal of 1.6-inches that has a resolution of 240 x 250 pixels.

The smartwatch is waterproof, so it won’t be damaged if you are caught outside in the rain wearing it, and bundles a proprietary software whose purpose is to connect together people who own a SpeedUp smartwatch.

In the processor department, the watch takes advantage of an MIPS processor from Imagination Technologies that brings about low levels of consumption.

The device runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box and is capable of delivering the exact date, time and weather related information. Like any self-respecting smartwatch out there, the S will relay notifications for messages, email, chat, social networking and so on.

On top of that, it has a few fitness-related capabilities too, so it will be able to track fitness-levels, store number of steps taken, distance traveled, calories burned. The watch will then take all this data and convert it into graphs.

The SmartWatch-S is compatible with both iOS and Android device and will arrive on the market in September.

As for the tablet, it comes bundled with an Intel Atom Clover Trail+ Z2520 (dual-core 1.2Ghz processor) fitted with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

Of course, the chip architecture powering the machine is out of date, as most slates today take advantage of Bay Trail instead, but note the device runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

The tablet will come pre-installed with some education content delivered via the Person Edu app. Expect the device to make it out on the market in July.
