Sony enriched its family of audio and video production with a new sound editing tool called SpectraLayers. The application works with frequencies, which can be explored on a multidimensional spectral display.
Priced $374.95/€351,95, SpectraLayers Pro allows you to split the audio files into layers that can be processed independently and then reintegrated into the mix. Editing can be done in order to eliminate unwanted noise and artifacts, perform pitch correction or separate music and dialog.
Smart editing tools present in the suite can predict your desired selection, thus making it easier to extract audio, track down frequencies or seek and select harmonics. Audio modification allows you to work straight on waveform spectra and amplify, clone or erase sound, but you can also create sound (frequency and noise).
