The latest version of the solution allows organizations to track not only employees who use devices running Windows, but also ones who utilize Mac OS computers.
By installing Spector CNE Investigator on corporate-issued computers, IT security teams can be immediately alerted if inappropriate computer use is detected. The solution can be efficiently used to identify insider threats, compliance violations, fraud, breaches, non-productive behavior, and employees that might be involved in data theft.
Spector CNE Investigator can record all computer actions, including program activity, email, keystrokes, instant messages, social media, file transfers and online searches.
Its features include central deployment, keyword-based alerts, and central playback and review.
Experts believe that the bring-your-own-device (BYOD) trend has expanded the presence of Mac OS devices in the businesses.
“However, with this exploding growth have come operational and security concerns. IT professionals are looking for technologies that ensure their networks are secure against insider threats and other fraudulent behaviors,” noted Javvad Malik, senior analyst of enterprise security practice at 451 Research.
Mac devices are considered to be much more secure than machines running Windows. However, they can still represent a risk if they remain unsupervised.

The only way to comprehensively investigate suspicious activity is to proactively monitor employee activity,” said Jason Judge, CEO of SpectorSoft.
