SpectorSoft Acquires Corner Bowl Software, Releases “Server Manager”

Monitoring services provider SpectorSoft has acquired Corner Bowl Software, a company that specializes in developing programs designed to help system admins in performing critical tasks. The acquisition allowed SpectorSoft to extend its capabilities to servers, security events, and applications.

“For the past 11 years, we've devoted our time and resources to helping system administrators improve the security and performance of their IT infrastructures. Our technology is proven, and we're excited to make it more widely available through this acquisition,” Michael Janulaitis, CEO of Corner Bowl, explained.

From now on, organizations – large and small – can turn to SpectorSoft Server Manager to automate and manage several critical tasks such as monitoring security events, server resources, disk utilization, applications, and event logs.

In case irregularities are identified, the “actions and alerts” mechanism integrated into Server Manager takes immediate measures to address the problems.

Security risks, such as the ones posed by insider threats, can be quickly identified before any damage is caused.

Since these days compliance is a serious issue, the product also offers enhanced reporting capabilities for regulations such as the ones imposed by the payment card industry (PCI) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
