A long time ago, 3Dconnexion introduced SpaceNavigator and every fan of Google Earth got overjoyed with it. Although I wasn't able to test one, I still think the device is pretty useful
for the Google Earth experience. In case you don't know what SpaceNavigator is, it is a 3D mouse with allows consumers to explore the Google Earth locations in no time. Just look at the adjacent photos and you'll understand how attractive it is. But what's more interesting is that you now have the chance to buy it at a special price using a special 3Dconnexion offer. "Save 15% on a SpaceNavigator 3D Mouse Today!" the official website of the company reads.
"3Dconnexion is happy to make this exclusive offer to readers of Sightseer. SpaceNavigator Personal Edition (PE), suggested retail $59, allows you to fly through Google Earth so easily you'll forget you are using a mouse. Unlike ordinary mice confined to movement on flat surfaces, a 3D mouse from 3DConnexion gives you total freedom of motion within Google Earth."
If you plan to acquire the device at the special price, you have to hurry up because the offer is available until November 16, 2007.
The device is able to work with Windows and Macintosh platforms so I think there's no Linux support. For the Windows-equipped computers, you have to own an Intel Pentium 4/III or AMD/Athlon processor based system with Windows XP SP2, x86 or x64, Windows Vista 32-bit or 64-bit, Windows 2000. The Mac requirements include a Dual-Core or Core Duo processor based system, 512MB RAM or 1Ghz G4 or higher, 512MB RAM, with Mac OS X 10.4.6 or later (including Mac OS X 10.5).
