Apple and MacMall introduce special deals during Memorial Weekend

Apple and MacMall (touted as your #1 Apple Superstore) have new offerings on refurbished Apple products including MacBooks, Mac minis and iPods, and even the Apple TV. While Apple is the only one offering one year warranty for the refurbs, MacMall also has a few attractive offers.

A summary posted over at MacDailyNews reveals that Apple fans have quite a few products to choose from, listing the most attractive “Apple-Certified” refurbs currently available from the online Apple store. Those include:

• Apple-Certified refurbished 8G iPod touch now only $179 in USA (previously $199); • Apple-Certified refurbished 8G iPod touch now only $199 in Canada (previously $229); • Apple-Certified Refurbished 32GB iPod touch (1st generation) is now only $299 in the US (save $80) and $319 in Canada;

For those who aren't familiar with the term “refurbished,” Apple Certified Refurbished Products are pre-owned products that undergo Apple's stringent refurbishment process, prior to being offered for sale. They are returned under Apple's Return and Refund Policies. While only some units are brought back because of technical issues, all of them undergo the company's rigorous quality refurbishment process. Service and support include 90 days of telephone support and one-year warranty. Supplies are limited, so hurry up.

Note: the Apple Store is the only place to get Apple-certified refurbished products with one year warranty. You also have the option to purchase an AppleCare Protection Plan for your refurb, while shipping is free in the US.
