Long gone are the days when Britney Spears and Kevin Federline were the bad kids on the block, outshining each other with their trashiness, sticking out their tongues at paps and going around town grabbing each other's groins. It was a sign of their undying love, you see and they truly were the only lovers on the face of the earth back then...
Sadly, their love did eventually die down and divorce soon followed suit. It was the end of 2006 and together with it, the end of an era: Britney had filed for divorce. The decision came as a shock for the public, especially since, until then, both Brit Brit and K-Fed had insisted repeatedly that their marriage was not on the rocks. What followed afterwards was even sadder: the events after the divorce proceedings started only came to prove that, for the time it lasted, the couple did not experience problems exclusively because of Federline. In other words, Britney showed her true colors, showing an amazed public that she was not without fault.
Anyways. Today, a judge pronounced the Spears-Federline divorce final, which means that both Britney, in all her superb and messy trashiness and Federline, in all his contemptible ridiculousness, are single. The world can rejoice now! But, even if they're no longer husband and wife, there still are a couple of things that tie the two to each other and, if you're thinking of making a move right now, you'd better wait a second before jumping into a very bad situation.
Britney and Kevin have two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James and it's because of them that the two parents simply can't seem to reach an understanding. At the moment, Britney and Kevin have 50/50 physical custody of the kids but both want more. While Kevin was granted today $15,000 a month in child support and $20,000 per month in spousal support (which ends however this November) and has no other income that would allow him to care for two infants, word on the street is that he will file for full custody in the coming weeks.
Apparently, due to Britney's recent antics, Kevin is of the opinion that she is not a suitable mother - she can't take care of herself, let alone for two young boys. Sources claim that the former rapper is so upset with his former wife that he's not even talking to her anymore and that he's preparing his next attack with the help of Britney's cousin and former assistant, Alli Sims. The fallen pop star, on the other hand, is having none of this and is willing to walk through fire to make sure that K-Fed is completely cut out of her life. Drama!
