According to the company, its software is able to set a new standard when it comes to user interfaces for mobile phones, while also providing something that is not yet available on today's handsets.

The Spb Mobile Shell 3.0 comes with a new flexible engine for 3D animation, while also including clever Facebook integration along with kinetic scrolling and widgets, as well as multiple usability innovations. The new software is able to impress a lot while also maintaining fast and clear device navigation capabilities.

The company states that the Spb Mobile Shell was unveiled to Beta users back in 2006 for the first time, and that it went to the open market about two years ago. Customized versions of the Spb Mobile Shell started to ship from OEMs and carriers and it proved to be a source of inspiration for the mobile community. The software has been designed to offer flexibility to both end-users and device manufacturers. Spb Mobile Shell 3.0 delivers a wide range of customization levels, and could be basis for developing the next generation of world-class smartphones running under the Windows Mobile platform.

The Spb Mobile Shell 3.0 is expected to become available for phone makers in late February this year, while it should reach consumers in late March. Spb Software upgrade policy allows all users who purchased the software within 90 days of the release of the new version to upgrade for free.

The company also announced that it intended to showcase a new multiplatform approach for future product development as well as other software upgrades and releases at the MWC show.
