Offering even visual feedback

Spb Software hits the PDA software market again with an outstanding functionality application that greatly increases the user input experience. The highly awarded app is called Spb Keyboard and it simply displays a unique virtual keyboard on the screen, enabling owners of Pocket PCs to use the touch-screen to type text in any supported language. Moreover, the software also offers half- and full-screen modes to significantly improve the user experience of inputting on touch-screens of handheld devices.

Even if it doesn't offer haptic feedback, it still gives users a visible feedback so they can easily see what key is currently pressed while moving their finger. The visual feedback is provided for key taps even while moving your finger on keys. The keyboard is predictive, so it prevents and corrects mistakes, making it easier and more efficient to use. Those who own PDAs with high-resolution displays don't need to worry, as the full- and half-screen QWERTY keyboard has keys large enough to be typed with thump-tips allowing them to enter large amounts of text.

Furthermore, Spb Keyboard features word auto completion, which simplifies text entering and makes it faster. The application simply suggests up to three words as the user types. If the right key is pressed the suggested word will be accepted. Statistically speaking, the feature might reduce the number of key presses by 15-20% and also dramatically reduces the number of misprints. The Spb Keyboard dictionary contains over 8000 words and is localized to many languages.

The Dictionary can be customized and more words can be added. As the user enters more and more text, the program encounters more and more words not found in its main dictionary, thus storing these words in there.

Other features of Spb Keyboard include: Close on “Enter,” which automatically closes the Keyboard when the 'Enter' button is pressed; Import selected text, which allows users to capture the selected text from the active application; Unload on close, which makes the Keyboard application unload from memory when closed; Rotate skin in fullscreen; Use as default keyboard; Enable gestures, which activates special keystrokes known as gestures to duplicate main keyboard functions (shift, backspace etc.) and allows users to faster enter capital letters, spaces, erase the preceding character and go to new line.

The trial version of Spb Keyboard includes all of the features available in the registered version, but expires within 15 days after the first installation.
