SparkyLinux, a lightweight, fast and simple Linux distribution designed for both old and new computers featuring customized Enlightenment and LXDE desktops, is now at version 3.0 Beta 1.

SparkyLinux 3.0 Beta 1 “Annagerman system is built on Debian GNU/Linux “Jessie.” According to the developers, Annagerman is a main-belt asteroid named after the Polish singer Anna German.

Highlights of SparkyLinux 3.0 Beta 1:

• Over 20 preconfigured locales are now available at system’s startup; • The Sparky Installer can now run in text mode, with no X Server; • Sparky Live can use an existing SWAP partition; • All packages have been synchronized with Debian testing repos of 20/05/2013.
