14 DAY TRIAL // Aaron J. Seigo posted today, February 2nd, on his blog, an in-depth Q&A about the upcoming Spark tablet that will run Plasma Active, a mobile version of the KDE environment.
To summarize the information, the Spark tablet will cost $265 (200 EUR), it will be available for pre-order starting next week, and shipping will start in May 2012. It will be available in Europe first, but worldwide shipping will also be available from day one.
The KDE Plasma Active tablet is fully customizable, it has a 1.3 MP front webcam, an 800×480 resolution, 2 USB ports, a microSD slot, a 3.5 mm audio jack and power connector.
Being based on the Zenithink C71, Spark will be available as a Wi-Fi only tablet, supporting standard 802.11 b/g wireless networks. 3G models with GPS will be available at a later time.
