The Space Hulk video game developed by Full Control in collaboration with Games Workshop is now available on Steam for Linux.

Space Hulk is a video game based on the two-player board game made by Games Workshop more than 20 years ago. The Windows and Mac versions have been available for few months, but now it's the turn of Linux users to enjoy the game.

“We’ve always wanted to offer gamers different options on what platform they choose to play Space Hulk.”

“We actively support Valve's push for Linux as a gaming platform and the future release of Steam machines, that will push PC gaming into the living room,” said Thomas Hentschel Lund, CEO of Full Control.

As the name implies, Space Hulk takes place in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, so there is a good chance that you will find a lot well-known archetypes and familiar units.

“As huge fans of the Space Hulk board game and the Warhammer 40,000 universe in general, we are delighted that Games Workshop has given us the opportunity to work with this iconic license and bring our version of Space Hulk into the hands of all fans out there,” also said Thomas Hentschel Lund.

According to the developers, this is a very faithful adaptation of the board game, which means that players won't be disappointed to see their beloved Space Hulk on a 2D screen.

The title also comes with a challenging AI, a thematic 3D environment, a 15-mission single-player campaign, multiplayer head-to-head recreating the board game experience against a friend, and asynchronous cross-platform multiplayer across Windows PC, Mac, Linux.

If you have already bought the game on Steam for another platform, you will be able to play it on Linux without any extra charge.
