Developer Full Control has just announced their outstanding Space Hulk: Ascension turn-based strategy game in the Warhammer universe will receive a consistent expansion this month.

This is the second expansion for Space Hulk: Ascension, and while no exact release date has been confirmed, developers did announce it would be available for Windows PC, Mac and Linux.

So, what’s with the new Salamanders Expansion? The Salamander Expansion opens up the Salamander Chapter and adds no less than 20 new unique story missions and 20 flash missions for players to complete in Space Hulk: Ascension.

According to Thomas Hentschel Lund, CEO of Full Control, “this is our most exciting chapter release to date, with a bucketload of new content for Space Hulk: Ascension players. The 3D models of the Salamanders are fantastic with lots of new details and their scorched skin and bright red eyes make them stand out as a force to be reckoned with in the iconic Space Hulk universe.”

Salamander Expansion adds 30 hours of content

The expansion will be purchasable via Steam and is supposed to add about 30 hours of content. In Salamanders Expansion, players will find themselves aboard the Space Hulk – Virtue of Hatred to find the precious pages from the Tome of Fire, or revenge on any who have dared despoil them.

Full Control also added some new gameplay hooks to the story missions, as players will now face environmental challenges beside an onslaught of the alien Genestealers.

The new troops in the expansion bring a new set of abilities like two Heavy Class Terminators in a squad, each with the option of having a Heavy Flamer bot.

The Salamanders also comes with an extra Flamer pattern and can walk unharmed through flames. Last but not least, the Salamander Librarian also has some interesting new pyromantic psychic powers.
