SouthernLINC, a U.S.-based regional carrier has just announced the availability of Motorola TITANIUM Android smartphone.

Initially launched through Sprint, Motorola TITANIUM is now available for purchase from SouthernLINC for as low as $149.99 after mail-in rebate and a new two-year agreement.

Those who purchase the TITANIUM, but want a short-term contract must pay $249.99 for the device.

The phone's suggested retail price is $380, which makes it a good choice for Android fans, especially if we take into consideration its hardware configuration.

However, the phone might not be that appealing, as Motorola launched the device with a rather obsolete Android 2.1 (Eclair) operating system.

Anyway, this seems to be one of the most powerful mobile phones launched by SouthernLINC that provides users with both worlds, a touchscreen display and a full portrait QWERTY keyboard.

The phone is aimed at business customers who wish to take advantage of its Push to Talk functions and corporate e-mail messages using PUSH technology.

Users will be able to easily synch their email, calendars and contacts from Gmail, Microsoft Exchange, POP3 or IMAP, for both personal and business accounts, while on the move.

Meet the latest touchscreen Push to Talk phone with full QWERTY keypad that combines WiFi, web browsing, music, messaging features and the latest apps into a rugged, durable handset.”

Furthermore, the TITANIUM comes with 3.1-inch HGVA capacitive touchscreen display and offers users access to over 250,000 downloadable applications via Android Market.

The bar smartphone also features a 5-megapixel camera with video capture, flash, autofocus, and 4x digital zoom, stereo Bluetooth, and GPS-based browsing.

The phone packs 512MB of internal memory, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 8GB memory card included).

According to the manufacturer, the device's 1820 mAh Li-Ion battery should provide up to 7 hours of talk time or up to 10 days of standby time.
