A report from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in South Korea has suggested that the country might move to ban the accounts of all minor players who spend more than two consecutive hours playing online game or more than three hours during any given day.

It seems that representatives from the gaming industry are being consulted at the moment and the idea might become law in the coming weeks.

South Korea is well known for the dedication of its players, especially those who are engaged with the Starcraft series or with online games, and some of them have been negatively affected by their gaming habits, with the death of one MMO player making headlines.

The government has sought to introduce limits on the amount of time minor players can spend online, with a curfew introduced for those under 18 between 10 PM and 8 AM, which is set to encourage gamers to spend their time socializing or completing homework.
