Google AdSense allows users to earn money by placing ads on their site, no matter if the user is represented by a beginner web designer or a large company that is offering multiple online services.

This time, Google attracted Daum, South Korea's second-largest portal that decided to advertise online with Google's AdSense. The Korean company agreed to start using the Google service after the current contract with Yahoo Overture will expire in January 2007.

'Expanding our relationship with Google AdSense improves the web experience for all users and advertisers, and further strengthens our position in the online advertising business,' said Kim Nam-Jin, Daum's head of search listing business, according to Forbes.

Google is using this opportunity to expand its services in the Korean market because the search giant aims to launch new offices and solutions in Asia.

'Daum is Google's longest-standing partner in Korea, and we are pleased to build on our alliance by connecting Korean Internet users worldwide to a wealth of new content,' Sukhinder Singh Cassidy, Google's vice president of Asia Pacific and Latin America operations, said in a statement for Forbes.

Daum made an important decision for their income because a well supported website in combination with Google AdSense, a service that brings money after users clicked on the ads placed on a webpage, can increase the portal's funds. OK, so Daum will earn money, but what about Google? Well, Google will earn money too, but indirectly because the ads placed on Daum will bring the company popularity that will be converted into money when the search giant will decide to launch the new service on the Korean market.

"Google said it is continuing to hire staff for its research and development center and sales operations in Seoul, develop new local products, and expand business relationships countrywide," Forbes said.
