A new flavor of the Soundtracker application is now available for download for Nokia devices, with some appealing new features packed inside, as well as with fixes for some of the bugs that affected users’ experience before.

Owners of S40 devices (Asha phones included) can now download Soundtracker 2.6, which was released in combination with version 1.7.9 of the application for S60 5th Edition smartphones.

Enhancements for S40 devices include Favorite Tracks, with the option to delete them, and with “playback 30 second clip of Favorite Tracks,” along with a fix for the resume playback option after a phone call.

There is also a Stationmarkplay service to enjoy, along with the Stationmarkplay location service and updated Trendy Station. For Asha phones alone, the app now sports HTTPS, along with support for double cookie.

On S60 5th Edition devices, the Create account with 2 words on name or last name bug was fixed in this release, the development team says.

There are also improvements aimed at both S40 and S60 handsets, such as updated Twitter API and Localization, the app’s release notes unveil.

Symbian S^3, Anna and Nokia Belle users can also benefit from an updated version of the app, namely 2.2, which packs the same changes as version 2.1 for MeeGo handsets.

These include:

- Delete Station - Delete Song Bookmarks - Privacy Policy and Terms of Service added to Sign up/Sign in page - Publish activities on News Feed - Add Stationmarkplay service - Add Stationmarkplay location service - Move from HTTP to HTTPS - Faster access to Album Cover Arts

The application also comes with a better Artist Search on these devices, as well as with various bug fixes and a series of user interface improvements, it seems.
