Connect to Spotify, create a playlist directly from your SoundHound ID

SoundHound, the awesome app that recognizes music playing around you, now integrates tightly with another cool music service: Spotify.

If you can’t beat them, join them. SoundHound is now offering an updated version of its iPhone and iPad application that offers integration with Spotify for playlists.

According to the developers, all you do is connect to Spotify and create a playlist directly from your SoundHound ID. The update also includes improved Twitter sharing reliability, according to the release notes.

SoundHound supports Facebook and Twitter sharing, listen-on-startup, geotagging, iTunes links, YouTube videos, Pandora station launching, etc.

You can download SoundHound 5.8 on any device with iOS 6.1 installed, including iPhone 3GS or later, iPad 2 or later, and iPod touch fifth-gen. Supported languages include English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, and Traditional Chinese.
