Dominic Wilcox is the one that invented the bizarre contraptions

I've seen attempts at merging multiple unrelated products before, but somehow no one ever thought of making light bulb-speaker hybrids.

Oh certainly, plenty of speakers have LED indicator lights of some kind, and some even have light producers of some sort.

Nevertheless, this is the first time I hear of light bulbs that are also speakers. Or speaker systems that also happen to be light bulbs. Or would be if they actually produced light.

They can be called both. Inventor Dominic Wilcox made sure of it.

Keep in mind that he didn't actually invent anything new. Instead, he made it possible to turn old sound systems, like stereos, into light bulbs. Or at least allow them to hang from or above those things.

“I could have chosen a minimal table lamp and a modern day music player, but decided to go in the opposite direction. There are not many opportunities in life to combine 1880 golden statues with 1980 ghetto blasters so I took it,” he said.
