Sotec Japan has just announced its latest notebook - the e-three HS310 - which weighs about 1.58kg and has a size of 274 x 231.65 x 33.5mm, informs Mobile Whack.
Unfortunately, as the manufacturer is Japanese and the press release and the declarations were made in the native language, the information is not complete, but appealing all the way…
Consequently, the 12.1-inch notebook offers a XGA TFT LCD which boasts a nice resolution of 1024 x 768. It's not extraordinary, but it is sufficient, if you are not a gamer I mean. It also features a hard disk with a capacity of 40GB, 256MB RAM, and it comes, the standard version, with an Intel 915GM Express chipset, and a Windows XP Home Edition 'package'. If you are interested, a Sotec HS310 Celeron-based will be available at an approximately $1040 (119,800Yen). And if you really want to buy it, you should know that the battery will last for up to 4,5 hours, but it depends on the processor you'll choose for your feature to be notebook. So, the Pentium M will last for 4.5 hours, while Celeron M's battery life will be short - of only 3.3 hours.
However, the user can chose from a relative wide range of Intel processors such as the Intel Pentium M 770 (2.13GHz), Pentium 735 (1.70GHz) or Celeron M 380 (.160GHz).
Again I must say that dreadful word - 'unfortunately', as Sotec's new notebook can only support up to 1GB of RAM memory and, as you know, it doesn't cover a web designer or a gamers needs. But the little gadget does have nice features such as a Gigabit Ethernet LAN, mini D-Sub 15 pin connection and IEEE802.11b/g wireless connection, 3 USB 2.0 port, IEEE 1394 (Firewire), and a PC card slot.
