Beautiful singer Sophie Ellis Bextor has secretly married her boyfriend, guitarist Richard Jones in Italy.
The event was celebrated at Palazzo Terranova - a nine-bedroom �500-a-night country house hotel - in Umbria with their families and friends.

A friend of the couple declared: "They couldn't be happier. The ceremony was very simple and understated and it was a beautiful day. They managed to keep the whole thing quiet as they didn't want to make a fuss.

The pair met backstage on Jonathan Ross's TV show, in 2003, and were said to have hit it off straight away. They live in her �400,000 home in London's Notting Hill. In May 2004, Sophie gave birth to their son.
