A real "iPhone killer" could have come only from the high-tech Japanese developers. Still, Sophia Nani's release on a limited market prevents it from affecting in any way the iPhone's popularity across the world.

Along with the official launch for Sophia Nani some
certified specifications have also appeared. People have had the chance to test it and appreciate its performances. The fact that the iPhone is not yet available on the Japanese market and is set for a release in Asia only during next year gives this new smartphone the highest chances of being highly successful. Not that the iPhone could have posed any competition to it, anyway.

The Japanese market has always preferred to develop their own high tech, which has proved to surpass that coming from other countries. For this reason, the iPhone might have had little chances of becoming a success. The release of Sophia Nani wipes all such chances away from any sight.

The only disadvantage about this newly released smartphone might be considered to be its large sizes, although it's quite slim at 140 x 80.5 x 17mm at 180 grams. The reason for these measurements is that the handset also includes an amazing 4.3 inch display touchscreen. You might not find it very comfortable to carry this smartphone around in your pocket, but it manages to pack the most evolved performances.

Sophia Nani is powered by an RMI Alchemy Au1250 Media Processor 600MHz CPU and also runs on Windows CE 6. This PDA is a complete PMP with MPEG, Divx, Xvid, MP3, WAV, WMA and Ogg Vorbis support. The device also packs Wi-Fi support and a GPS navigator.

There is also a microSD card slot included, to provide as much space as possible, although producers have not mentioned how high this can go. It would have been one thing quite interesting to know, as the iPhone's internal memory is one feature which has managed to impress many people. Still, Sophia Nani holds one feature where the iPhone is surely defeated. The 4.3 inch touchscreen is capable of an amazing resolution of 800 x 400 pixel.

Unfortunately, Sophia Nani will be available only in Japan. The price for this high tech beauty has not been unveiled yet.
