14 DAY TRIAL // Sophia Grace is getting ready to go places. After shooting to international fame thanks to a cover of Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass” and becoming a regular on Ellen DeGeneres, above is her first original, professionally done release.
Sophia’s new single is called “Girls Just Gotta Have Fun” and also features a bit that she raps and which, honestly, sounds much better than the heavily Autotuned chorus.
The video, which sees Sophia and her cousin / permanent sidekick Rosie McClelland, was directed by Matt Alonzo, whose previous collaborations include Soulja Boy, Pitbull, Ice Cube, and Far East Movement.
It shows her riding a pink mini SUV, partying with the girls, and acting like a true princess. The song also namedrops Ellen and Nicki, which makes perfect sense, if you think about it.
