Sony could make official two new smartphones for the international market as soon as August 29th, during a press event preceding the IFA 2012 show in Berlin.

While the event had already been announced for that day, Sony kept mum on what it might announce.

However, some of the latest rumors on the matter suggest that the company could make official both the LT29i Hayabusa, which is the international flavor of Xperia GX for Japan, as well as the LT30i Mint, its next flagship device.

Although it released quite a few smartphones last year, when it was still called Sony Ericsson, the phone maker launched a small number of devices in 2012, something that it might make up for towards the end of the year, it seems.

No specific details on when these smartphones might land on shelves have emerged, but stay tuned for more.
