After Fujifilm and Olympus, Panasonic and Sony are the next in line to reveal their latest digital cameras. While yesterday we found out that the upcoming Sony NEX-6/7 successor was called A6000, today, new bits of information have surfaced about Sony's February 12 announcement.

According to SonyAlphaRumors, the Nippon manufacturer will reveal the A6000 interchangeable lens camera on the aforementioned date and, along with it, four new compact cameras as part of its HX and WX series.

The same source states that these compact models will feature a fast image processor and AF capabilities. By the look of it, Sony will not announce a new RX compact camera this month, but maybe we will see one at the NAB Show in April along with new A-mount and E-mount digital cameras.

Besides that, the PlayStation maker is rumored to introduce the A77 successor (A79) later next month. Stay tuned on Softpedia as we try to find out more on the matter.
